Ohio State women’s basketball has announced its first addition of the offseason, with 6-foot center Adriana Diaz committing to the Buckeyes on April 15.
Diaz is joining Ohio State after playing two seasons professionally for Club Estudiantes de Baloncesto in Madrid, Spain. While representing Spain’s U18 team in 2025, the 18-year-old recorded 7.1 points and 4.1 rebounds across seven games.
Having four years of eligibility despite playing professionally, Diaz brings the Buckeyes’ 2026 recruiting class to two players. Guard Atlee Vanesko committed to Ohio State in July 2025 out of Westtown High School in Pennsylvania.
Ohio State has only lost three players from its 2025-26 teams since the offseason officially began, with Chance Gray and T’yana Todd finishing their eligibility, and freshman guard Dasha Biriuk entering the transfer portal on April 6.
The addition of Diaz brings the Buckeyes’ roster to 10 players for the 2026-27 season.
