Fifa open investgation into Argentina after chaotic scenes following World Cup final loss

Fifa will open a disciplinary investigation following the incidents after Argentina lost to Spain in the World Cup final.

The Independent understands Fifa will analyse the referee reports and footage before making any decision over potential sanctions.

One of the main incidents is the red card for Leandro Paredes, who was dismissed after the final whistle for violent conduct after appearing to strike Eric Garcia.

While Nahuel Molina could be seen throwing a punch towards Rodri, with Argentina’s assistant coach Roberto Ayala also involved in a violent confrontation with Dani Olmo.

So, bus update: we are only just getting started.

They’ve just gone past the Arco de Moncloa, which as you can see by the route map below is at the very start.

They will proceed down the historic Calle de la Princesa, before turning onto the Calle de Alberto Aguilera.

They will continue along the longest straight of the route, passing through Calle de Carranza, Calle de Sagasta, Calle de Genova, Calle de Genova and Calle de Goya, which will see the bus go by some of Madrid’s most emblematic locations such as the Monument to Christopher Colombus.

Then comes the finale, with the bus making a right onto Calle de Serrano and continuing past the Puerta de Alcala before turning onto Calle de Montalban. There, it will drive past the Cibeles Palace, where the main event of the celebrations will take place.

There’s a big festival-like stage at the end of the parade route, next to Cibeles Palace, where the DJ is keeping the sea of fans entertained as the bus makes its way through Madrid.

I’ve been able to make out Gasolina by Daddy Yankee and Baby by Justin Bieber so far. English or Spanish, these lot are in full voice.
