Perhaps more than any other royal, Queen Letizia is known to favour tailored looks – and has done so ever since her days as the Princess of Asturias. After announcing her engagement to the then-Prince Felipe on 1 November 2003, Letizia proved that she understands the assignment when it comes to regal power dressing.
Case in point? Her meeting with President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, five days before she tied the knot with Felipe, or her outing to the closing of the European Association for Cancer Research in July 2012, when she paired a Felipe Varela white suit with an emerald green blouse. She even wore a white suit when she and the then Prince of Asturias announced their engagement.
The white suit combo remains a favourite, with Queen Letizia wearing a similar look in April at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Madrid to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Young Talent programme, which seeks to improve employability outcomes for people aged between 16 and 29.
Letizia, who has been embracing her silver-streaked hair of late, wore one of her favourite brands for the outing, turning once more to Hugo Boss with an orange floral blouse, which she wore underneath a trouser suit from Mirto.
