The summer transfer window has officially opened and now that the World Cup has come and gone, clubs are working away on major deals. For most clubs, planning will already be complete and they will have identified which players they want to sign, and which players they want to sell.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals this summer. The rumour mill is still gathering pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories – you can access the full rumour mill below.
Today’s biggest transfer stories
Manchester United are reportedly interested in Juventus winger Francisco Conceição. According to reports in Italy, United have enquired about the 23-year-old but Juve’s demands of around €50m could see them pursue alternative targets.
AC Milan are exploring a deal for Ethan Nwaneri. The 19-year-old is expected to depart on loan again this season with first-team opportunities expected to be limited at Arsenal.
Franco Mastantuono is attracting interest from Roma and Fiorentina with the Real Madrid winger to depart on loan this summer. Mastantuono also has interested from Fulham with his future expected to resolved next week.
