The summer transfer window has officially opened and now that the World Cup has come and gone, clubs are working away on major deals. For most clubs, planning will already be complete and they will have identified which players they want to sign, and which players they want to sell.

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães. According to L’Equipe, the Gunners will pay a €90 million fee to the Magpies. The 28-year-old has already agreed personal terms and is now set to sign a contract until June 2031.

Newcastle are set to sign their second goalkeeper of the summer after agreeing a €29.2m deal for Lukas Hornicek. The SC Braga stopper, 24, is set to finalise a move to St James’ Park in the coming days and will compete with Ewen Jaouen, 20, for the No. 1 goalkeeper shirt.

Liverpool contract rebel Curtis Jones is poised to leave this summer, with Inter Milan ready to reach a compromise. The 25-year-old is understood to be looking to leave Anfield and was involved in a heated row with Dominik Szoboszlai on Friday. Inter are willing to pay around €35m for the England international.
