Troopers responded to the 6300 block of Montgomery Church Road in Montgomery Township on Friday morning at just after 6:30. Upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and a man suffering from a single gunshot wound inside the home. Lifesaving attempts were made to treat the woman, but she was determined to be dead. The man was removed from the scene and transported to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment. The PSP Major Case Team and the Franklin County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. Identities releasedThe woman was identified as Buffi Camille Smith, 49, who was a resident of the home. The man was identified as Larry S. Seville, 51, of Mercersburg. Seville was identified as Smith’s ex-husband. Investigation detailsThe investigation determined that Seville forced his way into the home while armed with a firearm. Seville is accused of having shot Smith multiple times, causing her death. Police say Seville then shot himself with the gun. The Franklin County District Attorney has approved charges against Seville for first-degree murder and burglary. A warrant will be issued for his arrest. Montgomery Church Road was closed between Cool Hollow and Welsh Run roads. See news happening?
