Argentina has become the next stop in veteran striker Enner Valencia’s career. The Ecuadorian soccer player, who most recently played for Pachuca, has reached an agreement with Boca Juniors.
The Argentine club officially announced Valencia’s transfer, noting that the veteran player’s contract will run through the end of 2027. It was reported that Valencia joined Boca Juniors as a free agent.
A NEW ADVENTURE AT BOCA JUNIORS
Having spent a significant portion of his career in Europe and the Americas, Enner Valencia will now be playing in Argentina for the first time.
The veteran striker, who is also one of the key players on the Ecuador national team, is expected to contribute to Boca Juniors’ attack with his experience and goal-scoring ability.
It is noted that Valencia will expand Boca Juniors’ attacking options, particularly in the absence of the injured Adam Bareiro.
HE MADE HIS MARK AT FENERBAHÇE
Enner Valencia, a familiar face to Turkish soccer fans, played for Fenerbahçe from 2020 to 2023.
The Ecuadorian soccer player, who particularly caught attention with his high-scoring performance during the 2022–23 season with the Yellow-and-Blue squad, transferred to Internacional following his stint in Turkey.
Having played for major clubs such as Emelec, Pachuca, West Ham United, Everton, Tigres, Fenerbahçe, and Internacional throughout his career, Valencia is now set to turn a new page with Boca Juniors at La Bombonera, one of South American soccer’s greatest stages.
The 36-year-old star is expected to use his experience to help Boca Juniors achieve its goals in both the league and continental competitions.
