“United Illuminating Grill Talk”: Awarded in the local TV energy and utilities segment (Local TV, General – Energy & Utilities).

Connection with the environment and energy activity

Avangrid CEO José Antonio Miranda highlighted the purpose of these pieces, stating that “they reflect Avangrid’s commitment to telling creative and authentic stories that highlight the people, communities, and innovation driving our surroundings forward. I am proud of our teams, who continue to bring these powerful stories to life with creativity, purpose, and a deep sense of collaboration.”

Through these projects, the company aims to directly demonstrate its work across the 24 states where it operates. These video pieces are used to explain grid, generation, and energy supply projects, seeking to foster an environment of transparency and closeness with customers.

A competition featuring over 13,000 global entries

In this 47th edition, the Telly Awards evaluated more than 13,000 entries from around the world. Judging was conducted by the Telly Awards Judging Council, a panel of over 250 industry experts including leaders such as Tamara Kruger (Google), Janet Graham Borba (HBO), Phil Cook (WNBA), and Andrea Wertheim (Netflix).

Regarding the current media landscape, the awards’ managing director, Amanda Needham, noted that video production is experiencing a period of immense creativity and consequence, with content distributed across multiple formats, screens, and budgets. Winning these three awards once again positions Iberdrola’s subsidiary as a benchmark in communication for projects tied to the energy transition and local development.
