The second most expensive property for sale in Spain is in Pollensa and costs 46 million euros, according to a study by the property portal Idealista, which also lists the third and fifth most expensive properties in the country as being in Mallorca.
The most expensive property for sale in Spain is in the town of Marbella, in Málaga, and costs 70 million euros, according to a ranking compiled by the website, which is dominated by properties on the Costa del Sol and the Balearics.
Topping the list is Villa Bellagio, on Marbella’s Golden Mile – a palace featuring a gym, sauna, several swimming pools, a bowling alley, a bar and a cinema, all set on a 14,000-square-metre plot and boasting thirteen bedrooms, Idealista reported in a statement on Wednesday.
In second place is the luxury villa in Pollensa, whose views, 11 bedrooms, privacy and unique access to the sea drive the price up to 46 million euros.
Third is Villa Solitaire, a designer home in Palma designed by architect Matteo Thun, inspired by ship’s sails, featuring seven bedrooms, whilst outside it boasts two swimming pools and, on the roof terrace, a jacuzzi and an open-air cinema, priced at 39.5 million euros.
Next on the list is La Madrugada, a Hispano-Arabic-style estate in Benahavís (Málaga) surrounded by nature, with views of both the mountains and the sea, and featuring seventeen bedrooms, all for 34 million euros.
Rounding off this list in fifth place is a country house in the municipality of Puigpunyent, just 20 minutes from Palma, which stands out for its views and its blend of traditional features and modern sophistication, and is on the market for 29.5 million.
