There’s just over a week remaining of the transfer window for the majority of the biggest leagues in the world and business is expected to ramp up significantly over the coming few days. Clubs have already spent billions on new signings and some major deals are still being worked on.

Today’s biggest transfer stories
Sunderland have made a loan approach for Jack Grealish. The Mackems want the 30-year-old to join until the end of the season before purchasing him permanently when his Manchester City contract expires. Everton remain keen on Grealish.
Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Emiliano Martínez. It’s understood Aston Villa are willing to allow the Argentinian number one to leave for €10m and he could solve Chelsea’s goalkeeping problem – you can read more about that story here.
Héctor Fort is on the verge of leaving Barcelona for Real Sociedad. The versatile defender will move to the fellow LaLiga club for €8m with Barca inserting a 50% sell-on clause and €20m buy-back option.
