Led by Panathinaikos Athens forward Konstantinos Mitoglou and Olympiacos Piraeus guard Tyler Dorsey, Greece defeated Spain 108-106 to claim their fourth win.

It all went down to the wire in the fourth quarter as Greece had a chance to close out the game, but on Spain’s final possession, Juancho Hernangomez hit a three-pointer to tie the game 86-86 and send it to overtime.

In overtime, Greece was in control from the start, but Spain kept the game close until the final seconds.

Spain’s Joel Parra had an excellent opportunity to tie the game after a steal at midcourt with 17 seconds remaining in overtime.

He made one of two free throws, after which Greece extended its lead to 108-106 with a free throw from Vassilis Toliopoulos.

Spain’s last possession was unsuccessful, and Greece secured a crucial win to keep its World Cup aspirations alive while closing in on the top three in Group I.

For Greece, the duo of Mitoglou and Dorsey combined for 58 points, scoring 29 points each.

For Spain, Barcelona’s Joel Parra finished as the top scorer with 18 points and 5 rebounds.
