More than three million BBVA customers in Spain have used “Coach,” the bank’s financial health tool, until June 2026. Of this total, nearly one and a half million have modified “some habit” related to the management of their personal economy, according to data provided by the entity.

In practice, these users have made some movement within the functionality to optimize their finances: setting a specific goal, using savings utilities, making periodic contributions, or committing to greater control of their expenses.

According to the Basque bank, approximately half of those who use “Coach” and have carried out any of these actions have managed to raise the median of their savings cushion by 14% compared to customers who have not yet interacted with the tool.

“Coach” personalizes its content and recommendations based on the profile and needs of each user, facilitating a clear view of their financial situation and the decisions they can make to improve it.

Among the main options, customers can create budgets and savings sections, set up automatic rules, mark specific goals, and open an account associated with those objectives. In addition, it offers solutions to split payments, simulate the evolution of debts, or foresee how they will reach the end of the month.

The tool has also added a specific itinerary for those who wish to start investing, with personalized proposals to take the first steps in this area.

Regarding active goals, BBVA customers currently maintain more than 400,000 goals within “Coach.” Of them, 40.7% are aimed at controlling spending, 45.1% at creating a financial cushion, 8.3% at facing personal expenses, 4.8% at reducing debt, and 1% at investment.
