Manchester City eclipsed Liverpool’s record for highest expenditure in a single window, while Chelsea set the record for highest income.
The window remains open in some nations around the world and deals will trickle through over the coming days and weeks. It seems ridiculous but recruitment staff at major clubs will already be working on identifying targets for the January and as ever, rumours continue to circulate.
