14:18 CET – Half-time in the North East, and it has been an entertaining tussle with Bournemouth taking advantage of some deflections to lead 2-1 over Newcastle. After their second, the hosts found an immediate reply, with Harvey Barnes curling one into the top corner from the edge of the area.
The Cherries have been able to boss the midfield, with Alex Scott showing just why he is so revered by many Premier League teams. The England Under-21 international has two interceptions and the most touches inside the box of both sides. He was also involved in both goals, but his manager, Marco Rose, will be worried about Newcastle’s wide threat.
