The new season of European football is heating up fast with big wins setting markers and shock results leading to unexpected early table toppers.
The Premier League saw Arsenal and Manchester City continue their perfect starting record with wins against Chelsea and Coventry, teams on the opposite side of the table. Manchester United was held by Everton while Liverpool got its first win of the season in the bag and Tottenham Hotspur’s woes continued.
Over in LALIGA, Real Betis handed a shock loss to a misfiring Real Madrid while Athletic Club got a huge win over Atlético Madrid even as Barcelona continued being dominant at the top.
Bayern Munich’s scoring and table-topping streak was snapped off by Schalke, no small feat that in Bundesliga. Paris Saint German’s fate was worse in Ligue 1, with a loss to table-topping Monaco after two draws. In Serie A, Inter Milan comes back from 2 goals down to beat Napoli and have a perfect start, as Roma leads the table.
