Spanish police raid homes in Costa Del Sol linked to Lyons gang
Amanda Lyons’ sister was arrested in Spain after police raided homes in the Costa Del Sol, we can reveal.
Rebecca Hayes, 32, and a man named Dean McFeely, 47, were detained after the Spanish Civil Guard used battering rams to force entry to multiple properties and businesses in dawn raids linked to the Lyons gang last month.
Several Lyons’ footsoldiers were apprehended in the crackdown named Operation Armorum.
Days later crime boss Steven Lyons, 45, was arrested in Bali on a European Arrest Warrant and put on a plane to Amsterdam. He is being held in the Netherlands before his planned extradition to Spain, alongside wife Amanda, who was arrested in Dubai.
They face future charges of money laundering and membership of a criminal organisation.

Amanda’s younger sister Rebecca, was one of the seven suspects arrested in Spain on March 27.
It’s understood she has since been released on bail, with conditions which include surrendering her passport, a ban on leaving the country, and the obligation to report periodically to the court.
Amanda and Rebecca are the daughters Richard ‘Ricky’ Hayes, a leading crime figure on the Costa Del Sol.
He began his criminal career selling heroin in Glasgow’s Easterhouse, running a network of street dealers including Derek ‘Deco’ Ferguson – who would go on to become Scotland’s most wanted fugitive.
The Record previously published extraordinary footage showing armed police raiding the homes in the Costa Del Sol linked to the Lyons gang.
Footage from body cameras showed officers with guns smashing their way into homes to make the arrests and initiate painstaking searches. Dozens of police were seen infiltrating an apartment complex in one clip.
After hammering doors down, one man was seen with his hands tied behind his back as cops carried out a swoop of his plush home. A number of swanky Rolex watches were recovered, alongside multiple phones.

Another video showed one officer finding a large block of white powder during a property search. At the same time, in another early-hours raid, a man was marched out of a restaurant and into a cop vehicle.
Spanish detectives seized more than 100 photos at a Costa del Sol apartment used by suspected Lyons gang members showing torture and beatings. The gruesome pictures were discovered at the flat on a residential estate in Fuengirola during one of the 18 raids carried out by cops late last month.
Detectives in Scotland and Spain are continuing to try to identify the victims pictured in the gory snaps.
The investigating judge in Malaga, who is leading an ongoing probe has been given copies of the photos.
The Civil Guard released spectacular footage earlier this month following a two-year investigation into the Lyons gang, who they branded a “highly sophisticated criminal organisation characterised by violence.”

Andalucia’s High Court of Justice, resuming the current state of the Malaga court-led judicial investigation linked to the Civil Guard’s Operation Armorum against the Lyons gang, said last week: “Malaga Court Number Seven began its investigation in 2024.
“The main crimes under investigation are money laundering and membership of a criminal organization.
“So far, there are 24 individuals under investigation, with varying degrees of involvement and responsibility in the events. It appears that all of them are foreigners.
“A total of 19 searches have been carried out, mainly in private homes: one search in Barcelona, another in the city of Malaga, and the rest in Fuengirola and Mijas.
“As a result of these searches, seven people were arrested or turned themselves in to the court after learning they were being sought.

“Of these seven, two were refused bail and remanded to prison, one on suspicion of crimes against public health because drugs were seized as well as money laundering and membership of a criminal gang, and the second for money laundering and criminal group membership.
“The other five were released on provisional bail, with conditions which include surrendering their passports, a ban on leaving Spain, and the obligation to report periodically to the court.
“There are three other detainees who are currently abroad and awaiting extradition to Spain.
“They are alleged leader of the organization Steven L; his wife who is detained in Dubai and also awaiting extradition; and a third person in the UK, also pending transfer to Spain.
“Currently there are several international arrest warrants out for the remaining suspects, which have not yet yielded positive results.”
Police in Scotland also carried out a series of joint dawn raids on the same day as part of the international investigation into the suspected drug trafficking network.
Officers arrested eight men ages 64, 46, 45, 45, 41, 39, 39 and 35, at addresses in Glasgow, Bellshill, Cumbernauld, Gartcosh, Caldercruix, Coatbridge and East Whitburn at around 4.30am on Friday morning. The men all appeared in court last week and were charged with a variety of offences, including organised crime.
