Valencia became the new Spanish champions after defeating Barcelona 108-84 in Game 4 of the Liga Endesa Finals.
Valencia celebrated the title in Catalonia, where they won both road games and captured the domestic championship with a 3-1 series victory.
This is only the second Liga Endesa title in Valencia’s history, with their previous championship coming back in 2017.
At the very beginning, the “Bats” struggled with Kevin Punter. The former Partizan guard scored more points in the opening minutes than he had in the entire second and third games combined, but the visitors quickly found their rhythm. Barcelona once again committed too many turnovers and looked quite nervous, with Jan Vesely picking up a technical foul out of frustration, which was also his third personal foul and forced him to the bench. Tomas Satoransky nearly got involved in the incident as well, but fortunately there was no escalation.
None of that disrupted the visitors. They pushed the pace, received contributions from nearly everyone in the rotation, and went into halftime with a 47-35 lead.

Valencia definitively settled the issue of the winner in the third quarter. Although Barcelona threatened at one point and cut the deficit to 71-63, that was as close as they would get. Valencia shot the three-pointer exceptionally well in the third period, while Jean Montero caught fire and knocked down three triples. Braxton Key and Omari Moore also connected from beyond the arc, and by the end of the quarter the visitors had built a commanding 82-64 lead.

There were no major thrills in the fourth quarter. Valencia controlled the game comfortably, maintained their big lead throughout, and ultimately secured a convincing victory.
For Valencia, Jean Montero led the way with 23 points, while Kameron Taylor also scored 21. Omari Moore was excellent as well with 19 points. The only other player in double figures for the visitors was Braxton Key, who added 12 points.
On the other side, Kevin Punter was the top scorer with 26 points, while Tornike Shengelia added 15. It is also worth noting that Jan Vesely, for whom this was the final game of his career, finished the contest with 12 points.
