Spain have a fresh World Cup<\/a> worry on their hands with star winger Lamine Yamal<\/a> picking up a potentially serious injury. The Barcelona winger was expected to play a crucial part for the European champions at this summer\u2019s tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada.<\/p>\n But he will now undergo tests after picking up an injury in the process of scoring a penalty in the Catalan giants\u2019 slender 1-0 win against Celta Vigo on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n Speaking after the game, Barcelona<\/a> boss Hansi Flick<\/a> said: “We have to wait. We have to see what it is. There is something. He felt it. After the goal, he would not leave the pitch without reason.<\/p>\n “So it’s something. Something happened. Hopefully it’s not so bad, but we have to wait until tomorrow.”<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI think there\u2019s an injury, but we\u2019ll have to wait to see how long he\u2019ll be out. I can\u2019t say anything else. We have to wait. I wouldn\u2019t say I\u2019m upset, I\u2019m thinking about a lot of things. We fought hard.\u201d<\/p>\n Spanish outlet Marca have reported that Yamal has suffered a hamstring tear, which would put the rest of his season, as well as the winger\u2019s place at the World Cup, in significant doubt.<\/p>\n Yamal\u2019s Barcelona and Spain teammate Pedri said: \u201cWe just hope that Yamal\u2019s injury is not significant. We still don\u2019t know and I imagine we will need to wait for the medical tests tomorrow, but I\u2019m optimistic because he is young and should get back soon.\u201d<\/p>\n Yamal has enjoyed another sensational season with Barcelona. The 18-year-old has 24 goals and 18 assists in all competitions this term.<\/p>\n Yamal was given treatment by Barcelona doctors(Image: Getty Images)<\/p>\n That form has taken his side to the verge of the La Liga<\/a> crown, with Barcelona currently sitting nine points clear of fierce rivals Real Madrid<\/a> with six games to be played.<\/p>\n Yamal was not the only injury concern that Barcelona picked up against Celta Vigo.
