{"id":1054,"date":"2026-04-11T04:53:33","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T04:53:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/1054\/"},"modified":"2026-04-11T04:53:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T04:53:33","slug":"prudent-management-and-few-cat-events-drive-record-2025-for-mapfre-re","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/1054\/","title":{"rendered":"Prudent management and few cat events drive record 2025 for Mapfre Re"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mapfre has reported that Mapfre Re, which encompasses its Reinsurance and Global Risks businesses, delivered a record result of \u20ac381 million in 2025, an increase of 17.2% year on year, driven by prudent management and the absence of catastrophe events.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-191251\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775869525_972_mapfre-re-logo-new-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"225\"  \/>Of the total, the Reinsurance division contributed \u20ac329.5 million, posting a combined ratio of 91.7%, while the Global Risks business generated \u20ac51.5 million with a combined ratio of 84.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Mapfre Re\u2019s total combined ratio was 91.2% for 2025, an improvement of 2.4 percentage points, with relevant reserve strengthening during the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were no relevant claims in the fourth quarter.
