It appears the Pole is not completely unhappy with the terms offered by Barcelona. Salary, in fact, is a very secondary factor for the player, as Barcelona\u2019s terms would still see him earn more than what Italian clubs are offering<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The sticking point of the negotiations is the role offered by Bar\u00e7a, or rather, the lack of it. <\/p>\n

Indeed, it seems the Catalans have not actually given Lewandowski a defined role next season. They are unsure about the future of the goalscoring department and whether or not they can sign a new player.<\/p>\n

That is why the Lewandowski renewal is stalling. The player, for his part, has not spoken to club leaders such as Hansi Flick, Joan Laporta or Deco about his future.<\/p>\n

Those talks are expected to be critical and could decide the fate of the veteran forward. <\/p>\n

It is likely that a final decision on Lewandowski\u2019s future could be made at the end of the season.
