Repsol will also make its wide range of energy offerings available to Toyota for its buildings and official dealer network.

For Repsol’s executive managing director of Customer Relations, Valero Marín: “This alliance with Toyota, one of the world’s leading manufacturers, represents another significant advance in our decarbonization strategy. Collaborating with a global leader in the automotive industry allows us to develop and scale our energy solutions, bringing them closer to customers, employees, and the dealer network. It is a clear example of how collaboration between sectors can accelerate the energy transition towards a more efficient model.”

Miguel Carsi, Chairman and CEO of Toyota and Lexus Spain, said: “At Toyota, we are working to make mobility increasingly sustainable, accessible, and efficient. This alliance with Repsol marks an important step on our path to carbon neutrality, not only through our vehicles, but also with comprehensive energy solutions for our customers, dealerships, and employees. By joining forces with an energy leader like Repsol, we are moving forward together toward a cleaner and more connected society.”

Repsol and Toyota: a partnership with a history in competition

In addition to the multi-technology agreement signed to promote the energy transition in the automotive sector, Repsol and Toyota have a long-standing relationship in the world of motor racing.

Both companies made history in the 1990s alongside the Spanish driver Carlos Sainz, winning two titles in the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 1990 and 1992. This year, they have resumed their collaboration in the WRC2 with the Toyota Gazoo Racing Spain team, backing drivers Alejandro Cachón and Borja Rozada at the wheel of a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.

Repsol and Toyota have also been collaborating in the Dakar Rally since 2021, initially with driver Isidre Esteve and his Toyota Hilux T1+. This alliance has been strengthened in 2024 with the addition of the official Toyota Gazoo Racing team. In both projects, Repsol’s renewable fuels play a key role, contributing to the performance and efficiency of the vehicles in the most demanding conditions of the competition.

Repsol has already been contracted to supply power and gas to Toyota’s offices, as one of the first…

[120
1030,1032,1031,635,127
0":"post-1224","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-repsol","8":"tag-ev-charging","9":"tag-mobility","10":"tag-multi-energy","11":"tag-press-release","12":"tag-repsol
["GET
