Frigiliana is a stunning village nestled in the southern region of Spain that could well become a new favourite amongst holidaymakers.<\/p>\n<p>Situated in Malaga, it lies in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountain range, not far from the renowned Costa del Sol, and has been named one of the &#8220;world&#8217;s most beautiful towns&#8221; by Travel and Leisure. The village is perhaps best known for its charming white-washed houses adorned with vivid flowers, providing a delightful backdrop for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/instagram\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> photographs. However, should you be looking for a lively evening out during your holiday, several nearby areas can more than oblige.<\/p>\n<p>Down at the beach, you&#8217;ll discover beach bars, known as chiringuitos, where you can enjoy refreshing drinks and snacks while soaking up the views of the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n<p>Nerja itself boasts an array of bars, pubs and clubs that remain open well into the early hours. Should you time your visit well, the village may be hosting a vibrant cultural festival or local event.<\/p>\n<p>These range from live music performances and outdoor concerts to art exhibitions and traditional celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you simply fancy a quiet drink in the evening rather than a full-blown night out, the village and its surrounding areas boast a wealth of restaurants and tapas bars serving cocktails, wine and nibbles.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to sample classic local dishes such as gazpacho (cold tomato soup), paella, fried fish and Spanish omelette.<\/p>\n<p>The nearest airport to the village is M\u00e1laga, where return flights can be snapped up from as little as \u00a328 return from London.<\/p>\n<p>From there, the village is roughly an hour away by taxi, car or bus.
