{"id":18049,"date":"2026-05-06T15:42:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T15:42:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/18049\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T15:42:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T15:42:28","slug":"superagent-arrives-in-barcelona-to-finalise-key-contract-renewal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/18049\/","title":{"rendered":"Superagent arrives in Barcelona to finalise key contract renewal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hansi Flick admitted last month during a press conference that he intends to sign a new contract at FC Barcelona, even going as far as saying that this could be his \u2018final job\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The German tactician\u2019s current contract with the Blaugrana runs until the summer of 2027, and the club\u2019s intention is to extend it by another year, with an option for an additional 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>Pini Zahavi in Barcelona to finalise renewal<\/p>\n<p>Now, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundodeportivo.com\/futbol\/fc-barcelona\/20260506\/1004179435\/pini-zahavi-barcelona-cerrar-nuevo-contrato-flick.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mundo Deportivo<\/a>, with that objective in mind, superagent Pini Zahavi arrived in Barcelona on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Zahavi represents both Flick as well as Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski. But his ongoing visit is primarily focused on negotiating the manager\u2019s renewal with the club. <\/p>\n<p>It has already been reported that both the club and the coach <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/hansi-flick-approves-barcelona-renewal-with-additional-year-included\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">share a mutual intention to extend their agreement<\/a> until the end of the 2027\/28 season, with an option to prolong it until 30 June 2029. <\/p>\n<p>And the next step is to formalise the agreement and conclude the negotiations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1778082148_892_villarreal-cf-v-fc-barcelona-laliga-ea-sports-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Hansi Flick, Robert Lewandowski and Marcus Rashford  of FC Barcelona\" class=\"wp-image-198891\"  \/>Zahavi represents both Lewandowski and Flick.
