His comments come shortly after his wife Taia Belloli <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-superstars-wife-reacts-amid-reports-of-him-leaving-this-summer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">reacted to the SPORT article<\/a> with a string of laughing emojis. <\/p>\n<p>It also comes just days before Sunday\u2019s El Clasico against Real Madrid, where Barcelona can clinch the La Liga title.<\/p>\n<p>Raphinha sets the record straight<\/p>\n<p>The Barcelona captain did not hold back when addressing the speculation surrounding his future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEver since I arrived at Barcelona, from day one there\u2019s been speculation that I\u2019m going to leave this club. I think people don\u2019t really like seeing me here. Especially the press\u2026 there\u2019s one guy who just tells lies,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>He then aimed his criticism directly at the journalist behind the story. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one who wrote that article has also written other things about me that were lies, saying that I met with the club, that I spoke to people internally and said I was undecided, that I didn\u2019t know if I would continue or not at Barcelona. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/fc-barcelona-v-real-madrid-spanish-super-cup-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Raphinha of FC Barcelona\" class=\"wp-image-198921\"  \/>Raphinha is not thinking about a Barcelona exit. (Photo by Yasser Bakhsh\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat guy only tells lies, every time he posts some news he has to leave out some irrelevant things that come out of his mouth,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n<p>On winning the title against Real Madrid<\/p>\n<p>Raphinha also addressed the prospect of clinching the league title in El Clasico this Sunday, striking a measured but excited tone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be honest, the standout thing for me is winning the league, no matter the opponent. For the fans, and for those who\u2019ve spent longer at the club, it\u2019s a hugely special thing to be able to win against our biggest rivals,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut for me, the most important thing is winning the league.
