The new store will open in the coming months at the Los Alfares Shopping Centre and mark Primark\u2019s 68th store in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>The eleven refurbishments reflect Primark\u2019s strategy of reinvesting in its stores &#8220;to deliver best in-store experience for customers&#8221;. Improvements will include enhanced layouts, refreshed decor and a modern design in line with the latest store concept, as well as the introduction of self-service checkouts.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/ads\/dropit-desktop-pu\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Dropit-ad-The-Industry-720x300-1.png\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/ads\/shoptalk-ad-mob-pu\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/STE-GIF-banners-300-x-250-px-TheIndustry.Fashion-2.gif\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Portugal,\u00a0the retailer\u00a0will\u00a0invest \u20ac45 million (\u00a338.8m) to\u00a0open four new stores in\u00a0Porto, GAIA,\u00a0Castelo Branco,\u00a0and\u00a0Set\u00fabal, alongside\u00a0the\u00a0extension of its\u00a0popular\u00a0Forum Coimbra store.<\/p>\n<p>The investment marks\u00a0continued\u00a0growth in a market where the brand has been building its presence for the past 17 years. It came as Primark highlighted weaker trading in April as pressure from the Middle East conflict &#8220;weighed on consumer sentiment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company, which runs large food, sugar and agriculture operations, said it expects to separate Primark by the end of 2027. The move comes after a significant review into the company structure in a bid to improve returns for shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>Also in April, Primark launched its first-ever mobile app in the UK, following launches in Ireland and Italy last summer.
