He may not be so young anymore, but he would be a fantastic option.

“It would be a more than sensible signing. Liverpool should sign Lewandowski no matter what,” he said, as per SPORT.

Liverpool have been urged to sign Lewandowski. (Photo by Denis Doyle/Getty Images)

Crouch also pointed toward Liverpool’s current attacking situation as one of the reasons the club should seriously consider the move.

According to the former striker, concerns remain regarding the fitness and availability of some of Liverpool’s current forwards.

“Isak has just come back and I think he’ll have a good season next year. But who would say no to signing Lewandowski?

“He still knows exactly how to score goals. There’s no doubt about that.”

The former Liverpool forward also suggested that the club’s heavy spending in recent transfer windows has not fully delivered the expected results, making Lewandowski’s situation particularly appealing from a financial perspective.

“What they spent last summer has, in the end, proved not to be worth it.

“Lewandowski’s case is different because he’d arrive on a free and eager to prove himself in the Premier League.
