This week the standings in Foothill League softball mostly held firm to final, with the only change being a swap of fifth and sixth place teams. That result will probably be just for pride, however. Since the Foothill is a seven-team league, only four playoff spots are guaranteed.<\/p>\n
Softball playoff brackets will be released on Monday, May 11 at 9 a.m. at cifss.org<\/a>. Games begin on May 14.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Saugus (19-8, 12-0)<\/p>\n Saugus had already locked up first place in the Foothill League with one game to go. That game turned out to be an 11-1 victory over Valencia on May 6.<\/p>\n The Centurions await a playoff pairing announcement on Monday.<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.maxpreps.com\/ca\/saugus\/saugus-centurions\/softball\/schedule\/<\/a><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n West Ranch (20-8, 9-3)<\/p>\n West Ranch beat Canyon 13-12 on May 1, which secured second place in league. The losses dropped the Cowboys to sixth place in league.<\/p>\n
