For the sixth consecutive year, the FC Barcelona<\/a> women\u2019s football team will play the final of the UEFA Champions League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The match will take place on 23 May at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, Norway, against the French team Olympique Lyonnais.<\/p>\n

One of the Spanish team\u2019s most outstanding and promising players is midfielder Vicky L\u00f3pez.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old has already won two Champions League and three Spanish league titles with FC Barcelona, as well as prestigious international awards such as the Kopa Trophy for the world\u2019s best female player under 21 and the Golden Girl award.<\/p>\n

For the Spanish player, being able to play for both her club and the Spanish national team, where she made her debut at just 17, is a dream come true.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m only 19. Five years ago, I was playing with my friends at school imagining that we were in the Champions League. Everything has happened so quickly, and it’s really special for me to be able to wear this shirt and play in big stadiums”, she recently said in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Peri\u00f3dico.<\/p>\n

L\u00f3pez grew up in a Christian family and her grandparents took her to church on Sundays as a child, but \u201cit was when I came to Barcelona that I grew closer to God\u201d, she told the newspaper.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod is everything to me. Since getting closer to God, I see life differently. I have peace knowing that God is with me\u201d, she added.<\/p>\n

For the midfielder, \u201cbeing a believer changes who you are because you want to do things right. You stop worrying about problems that are really beyond your control and find peace knowing that God\u2019s plans are perfect\u201d.<\/p>\n

L\u00f3pez often shares her faith on social media<\/a>, posting Bible verses and thanking God for her professional achievements.<\/p>\n

Last January, when FC Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup, she gave God the glory for the victory.<\/p>\n

Talking to the journalist in Barcelone, L\u00f3pez said: \u201cI like to go to church at least once a week\u201d.<\/p>\n

She also pointed out she likes to \u201cpray just before the match. I simply give thanks for being able to play another match and do what I love most, which is playing football\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI ask Him to bless the match, to make whatever He has in store for me come to pass, to keep me calm and make me brave in those moments\u201d, concluded L\u00f3pez.<\/p>\n
