{"id":2599,"date":"2026-04-12T12:25:37","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T12:25:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/2599\/"},"modified":"2026-04-12T12:25:37","modified_gmt":"2026-04-12T12:25:37","slug":"mapfre-re-secures-e125m-cat-bond-targeting-european-wind-risk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/2599\/","title":{"rendered":"MAPFRE RE secures \u20ac125m cat bond targeting European wind risk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MAPFRE RE has returned to the catastrophe bond market by sponsoring a new \u20ac125 million, three-year issuance specifically designed to protect its European risk portfolio against extreme wind events, which constitute the firm\u2019s main catastrophic exposure in the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-61481\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/https___noticias.mapfre.com_inc_uploads_2018_10_LOGO-MAPFRE_POS_2536X1270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"180\"  \/>This 2025 transaction, executed through the Irish-domiciled SPV Recoletos Re DAC, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reinsurancene.ws\/mapfre-re-successfully-structures-its-first-cat-bond-recoletos-re-dac\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">follows MAPFRE RE\u2019s inaugural catastrophe bond purchase in 2024<\/a>.
