\n\tThe Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has granted LNG bunkering supply authorisations to Shell Western LNG and Axpo Iberia.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe six-year approvals allow the companies to supply LNG to ships using tankers\u00a0at the Spanish ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia, as per a statement issued on the port authority\u2019s website on Wednesday.<\/p>\n


\n\tSeparately, the authority awarded a 25-year concession for a renewable fuel plant to Five Next Useoil Solutions and Uco Trading Spain.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe project involves a \u20ac20 million investment and will process waste fats including used cooking oil and animal fats into advanced biofuels at the Port of Sagunto.<\/p>\n


\n\tValenciaport said the projects form part of its Net Zero Emissions Plan, focused on port decarbonisation and alternative marine fuels.<\/p>\n
