The Guardia Civil and the Mossos d\u2019Esquadra have arrested a man in Palma<\/a> for allegedly selling prohibited weapons<\/a>, such as brass knuckles and tasers, which he sent to customers across Spain<\/a> via parcel services.<\/p>\n

The joint investigation<\/a> carried out as part of the operation dubbed \u201cVoltiocat-Cataleg\u201d led to the identification of a man who purchased prohibited weapons in the Czech Republic. Once in his possession, he offered them for sale online and via instant messaging apps, where he promoted his catalogue of weapons.<\/p>\n

He would then send them to his customers\u2019 addresses, located across the country, via courier services. According to separate statements issued by both police forces, he received payments via platforms such as Bizum or bank transfers. The suspect offered pepper spray, stun guns, brass knuckles, tasers, switchblades and extendable batons, all of which are considered prohibited due to their dangerous nature.<\/p>\n

All these types of weapons, as well as numerous anabolic products, were found by investigators at the accused\u2019s home. He was arrested on 8 May and brought before a judge in Palma the following day as the alleged perpetrator of offences relating to the illegal possession of weapons and public health.<\/p>\n
