{"id":35558,"date":"2026-06-05T23:16:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T23:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/35558\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T23:16:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T23:16:18","slug":"chaturbhuj-bansal-to-lead-mapfre-re-india-branch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/35558\/","title":{"rendered":"Chaturbhuj Bansal to lead MAPFRE Re India branch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spanish insurance company MAPFRE\u2019s reinsurance branch, MAPFRE Re, has announced the appointment of Chaturbhuj Bansal as Head of its India branch, subject to regulatory approval.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-191251\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775869525_972_mapfre-re-logo-new-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"225\"  \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reinsurancene.ws\/mapfre-re-establishes-india-branch-office\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MAPFRE Re\u2019s India office was established back in February 2026<\/a>, in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), following approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) of India.<\/p>\n<p>Bansal\u2019s appointment marks a major step for MAPFRE Re\u2019s expansion within the Indian marketplace, reinforcing the reinsurer\u2019s commitment to growth in one of the most dynamic reinsurance markets globally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis appointment represents a key milestone in MAPFRE Re\u2019s Asia-Pacific strategy and supports the company\u2019s ambition to build a strong local presence, enhancing proximity to clients and brokers in the region,\u201d MAPFRE Re stated.<\/p>\n<p>Bansal, who will be based in GIFT city, brings over 16 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry across underwriting and risk management, with a strong background in the Indian and Asia-Pacific markets.<\/p>\n<p>He joins MAPFRE Re following a distinguished 13-year tenure at large reinsurer Swiss Re.
