{"id":39032,"date":"2026-06-12T08:51:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T08:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/39032\/"},"modified":"2026-06-12T08:51:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T08:51:12","slug":"charles-leclerc-set-for-major-ferrari-change-at-f1-barcelona-gp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/39032\/","title":{"rendered":"Charles Leclerc set for major Ferrari change at F1 Barcelona GP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/tag\/leclerc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charles Leclerc<\/a> will use Carbon Industrie brakes instead of Brembo for the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/series\/single-seater\/formula-1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix after brake failure at Monaco.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leclerc suffered an agonising DNF at his home race, after he crashed out during the red-flag restart on the streets of the Principality, last weekend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Monegasque was running in third before his Brembo brakes seemingly gave up going into La Rascasse \u2013 sending him towards the barriers and out of the race. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the contrary, his team-mate Lewis Hamilton, running with Carbon Industrie brake discs, secured a stellar second-placed finish behind race-winner Andrea Kimi Antonelli.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After his DNF, a visibly frustrated Leclerc <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/2026\/06\/07\/charles-leclerc-demands-ferrari-inquiry-after-being-left-a-passenger-in-f1-monaco-gp-crash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">refused to \u201ctake the blame\u201d<\/a> and called this incident a \u201cnightmare\u201d. The Ferrari driver also alluded to be shifting onto Hamilton\u2019s \u201cconfiguration\u201d heading into the race weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe only thing I can say is that we have a solution.
