Red Bull Racing<\/a> has implemented some upgrades to the RB22\u2019s front wing for the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. These changes are primarily focused on the car\u2019s aerodynamic aspects, which will be important in the fast corners of the Spanish circuit.<\/p>\n

First, the shape of the wing elements has been modified at the points where they meet the end plate. With this, the team hopes to improve the local load on the front wing while maintaining airflow stability.<\/p>\n

A small adjustment has been made to the front wing, namely the camber (curvature) of the front flaps has been sharpened. If the loading on the front wing turns out to be greater than expected, a flap configuration with a larger camber has been developed to deliver more aerodynamic load locally.<\/p>\n

So Red Bull has only brought a revised front wing to Spain. For Max Verstappen<\/a>, the Grand Prix weekend in Barcelona is the moment of truth<\/a> for the RB22. According to the Dutchman, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya<\/a> is, for the first time in a while, once again a track with fast corners.<\/p>\n

This will make it interesting to see how Red Bull will perform, since the team was not as strong in the faster corners earlier this season. Since then, the Austrian team has brought a lot of updates to the car.<\/p>\n

Ferrari bring huge upgrade to Spain<\/p>\n

The team drawing attention on the update list is Ferrari. The Italian team has brought no fewer than eight updates to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.<\/p>\n

Ferrari\u2019s overhaul targets the SF-26\u2019s front wing, floor and sidepods, with revised wing elements, a raised-nose integration and extensive floor geometry changes aimed at cleaner airflow and higher, more stable downforce.<\/p>\n

The team says the floor architecture should better energize the rear corners and suit Lewis Hamilton\u2019s driving style, while Charles Leclerc has adjusted his braking setup to extract more consistency.<\/p>\n
