A father-son duo in San Antonio to watch their beloved Knicks win the NBA championship Saturday claimed they were assaulted by a pair of Spurs fans outside of their hotel.<\/p>\n
The victim, 29, told KSAT<\/a> that he and his father, 62, were jumped by two people wearing Spurs gear near Hotel Valencia Riverwalk around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. <\/p>\n The man said he and his dad, both wearing Knicks jerseys, were returning from the Game 5 title-clinching win when they were targeted. <\/p>\n A father-son duo claimed they were attacked by Spurs fans outside the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk on Saturday. Google Maps<\/p>\n His father was taken to a local hospital for treatment after the assault, according to the San Antonio Police Department, though the severity of his injuries are unclear. <\/p>\n An anonymous Knicks fan shared a post on the Knicks subreddit recounting a near-identical assault, though it\u2019s unconfirmed if it was posted by the same 29-year-old man.<\/p>\n The Redditor asked for members of Knicks nation to \u201cpray for my Dad\u201d after two strangers \u201csucker-punched\u201d them while they were stepping out of their Uber near the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk on Saturday.<\/p>\n The user detailed their 62-year-old father\u2019s harrowing injuries, ranging from a \u201csmall brain bleed\u201d to gashes on his face that required stitches.
