{"id":41768,"date":"2026-06-17T05:00:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T05:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/41768\/"},"modified":"2026-06-17T05:00:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T05:00:27","slug":"a-taste-of-spain-in-toronto-with-iberia-celebrating-the-new-yyz-mad-flights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/41768\/","title":{"rendered":"A taste of Spain in Toronto with Iberia, celebrating the new YYZ-MAD flights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TORONTO \u2014 Iberia brought a taste of Madrid to Toronto with an industry event yesterday morning at Ricarda\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees heard all about Iberia\u2019s new route connecting Toronto directly to Madrid and Europe while enjoying a Spanish-inspired brunch, complemented by 0.0% vermouth and olive oil tastings and a live jam\u00f3n carving station.<\/p>\n<p>The event featured remarks from Luis Mart\u00edn Izquierdo, Vice-Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Madrid Regional Government; Almudena Ma\u00edllo, Councillor for Tourism at Madrid City Council; and Juan Cierco, Corporate Director at Iberia.<\/p>\n<p>The new YYZ-MAD service, launched June 13, offers more than 37,000 seats between Toronto and Madrid during the summer season, plus connections to 46 destinations across Spain and more than 60 destinations throughout Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The new flights operates five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
