We see him right up there with [Lionel] Messi in terms of ability, and it\u2019d be great for the city of Chicago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for Bar\u00e7a, the quest continues to find a successor worthy of inheriting Lewandowski\u2019s number 9 Blaugrana shirt.<\/p>\n<p>Julian Alvarez is the top target and has <a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/tomsanderson\/2026\/06\/02\/julian-alvarez-agrees-to-join-barcelona-on-five-year-contract\/\" data-ga-track=\"InternalLink:https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/tomsanderson\/2026\/06\/02\/julian-alvarez-agrees-to-join-barcelona-on-five-year-contract\/\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"agreed a five-year deal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">agreed a five-year deal<\/a> with FC Barcelona according to reports in Argentina.
