Joan Laporta has officially begun his third term as president of FC Barcelona after being sworn into office following his decisive victory in the club’s presidential election earlier this year.<\/p>\n
The club’s long-term administrator won 67.93% of the vote in the March 15 election, comfortably defeating challenger Victor Font, as Caliber.Az<\/a> reports citing <\/a>sports magazines, who secured 29.67%<\/p>\n Having previously served as Barcelona president from 2003 to 2010 and again from 2021 to 2026, Laporta now embarks on a new mandate at the helm of the Catalan club, aiming to build on both its sporting and financial progress.<\/p>\n The inauguration ceremony also confirmed the club’s executive leadership, with Rafa Yuste to continue as first vice-president, while Elena Fort, Ferran Olive, Joan Sol\u00e9 and Antonio Escudero have been appointed vice-presidents. Josep Cubells remains secretary, and Tito Castro continues as treasurer.<\/p>\n Speaking at the ceremony, Laporta highlighted the club’s financial priorities, with the redevelopment of Spotify Camp Nou remaining central to his plans.<\/p>\n “We are making a real effort with the stadium, and it will be the best in the world. It will generate a lot of revenue so that the La Liga committee can grant us \u2018fair play\u2019 approval, allowing us to consolidate our financial strength,\u201d the club’s new president said.<\/p>\n Laporta also praised head coach Hansi Flick, expressing confidence in the German trainer’s long-term direction for the team.<\/p>\n \u201cHansi Flick, we are very proud of what you are doing.
