href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/piero-hincapie\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Piero Hincapie<\/a>, TEAMtalk can reveal whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/arsenal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arsenal<\/a> would be willing to sell the defender to Jose Mourinho\u2019s side in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/piero-hincapie\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hincapie<\/a> joined Arsenal on loan from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 and played a major role in the Gunners\u2019 success last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Ecuador international defender, who can play as a centre-back and as a left-back, helped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/arsenal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arsenal<\/a> win the Premier League title and reach the final of the Champions League during the 2025\/26 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old scored one goal and gave two assists in 41 matches in all competitions for Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>Our transfer insider, Graeme Bailey, reported back on February 24 that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/arsenal\/piero-hincapie-greenlight-45m-deal-first-summer-signing-arteta-impressed-exclusive\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arsenal had already decided to make Hincapie\u2019s loan deal permanent<\/a> in the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal eventually announced the decision on June 25, stating on their official website that they have \u2018activated the option to make Piero Hincapie\u2019s transfer to us permanent from July 1\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/arsenal\/piero-hincapie-riccardo-calafiori-arsenal-real-madrid\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Real Madrid were linked with Hincapie before the announcement<\/a>, with new Los Blancos manager Jose Mourinho looking for a left-footed centre-back who can also play as a left-back.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/arsenal\/arsenal-real-madrid-riccardo-calafiori-2026-summer-transfer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori is also on Madrid\u2019s rada<\/a>r, according to the Spanish media.<\/p>\n<p>Even after Hincapie\u2019s becoming a permanent Arsenal player, rumours linking Madrid with the Ecuador international are not going away.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eldebate.com\/deportes\/futbol\/20260706\/real-madrid-cree-plantilla-esta-cerrada-busca-rematarla-otro-central-sueno-galactico_436215.html\" target=\"_blank\">El Debate<\/a>, Mourinho has made the \u2018signing\u2019 of another centre-back\u2019 in the summer transfer window \u2018a priority\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella have been the four major signings for Madrid so far this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Madrid have Manchester City defender Ruben Dias and Arsenal duo Calafiori and Hincapie are \u2018at the top of the list\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>While Calafiori is said to be valued at \u20ac80million (\u00a368.4m, $91.2m), Hincapie would cost \u20ac60m (\u00a351.3m, $68.4m), according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Our transfer insider, Graeme Bailey, has already reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/manchester-city\/man-city-react-after-real-madrid-enquire-about-ruben-dias\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Man City have rebuffed Real Madrid\u2019s approach for Dias<\/a>, and we can now reveal that Los Blancos will suffer rejection should they try to sign Hincapie from Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p that, despite Madrid\u2019s reported interest in Hincapie, Arsenal have no desire to sell the defender.<\/p>\n<p>Sources have told us that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta does not want manager Mikel Arteta to be short of options in defence, with Myles Lewis-Skelly likely to be used in midfield next season.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey told TEAMtalk: \u201cArsenal love Hincapie, there was never a doubt they would make his move permanent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe club have no intention of letting him go, but that doesn\u2019t stop clubs looking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Myles Lewis-Skelly likely to be deployed
