The aftermath of Barcelona\u2019s Champions League elimination<\/a> continues to generate headlines, and this time, it is Juan Musso who has stepped forward to respond to the strong statements made by Raphinha.<\/p>\n

Following the heated quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid, Raphinha had labelled the result a \u201crobbery\u201d<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, Musso, who played a decisive role in Atletico\u2019s progression, has responded to the Barcelona captain.<\/p>\n

Addressing the accusations directly, the Argentine goalkeeper said,<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems as though there were three penalties they didn\u2019t get, or four red cards. You can\u2019t talk about a robbery,\u201d he began.<\/p>\n

Responding to Raphinha<\/p>\n

While acknowledging the emotional nature of such statements, Musso said that he believes Atletico\u2019s qualification was earned on the pitch rather than influenced by officiating.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand what Raphinha is saying, I understand what anyone might say, I respect everyone\u2019s opinion, but let\u2019s not start talking about theft because it doesn\u2019t help.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe won on the pitch; we beat them 2-0 away. Last man, in football, is a red card, unfortunately,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper also took a moment to express his respect for Barcelona, stating that the story around the match has gone too far.<\/p>\n

\u201cBar\u00e7a are a team we respect a lot and it really motivates us to play against them; they\u2019re a great team, but to talk about a \u2018robbery\u2019 is madness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collision with Fermin Lopez<\/p>\n

One of the moments that fuelled Barcelona\u2019s frustration came from a concerning collision involving Fermin Lopez<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The midfielder went down after falling onto Musso\u2019s outstretched boot as the goalkeeper attempted to block the ball.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The impact left Fermin requiring medical attention for several minutes before he was able to continue, with replays highlighting the severity of the contact.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s madness to try and pass this off as a robbery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they\u2019re asking for a penalty for the Fermin incident, it\u2019s a challenge that pains me for him, because he got injured and I never want that.\u00a0<\/p>\n
