But in addition, the club have been linked with a move for Jorge Salinas as well. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently plying his trade for Racing Santander, Barcelona wanted to sign Salinas as a cover for Alejandro Balde. (Picture credit: Instagram\/@jorgesaliiinas)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recent report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundodeportivo.com\/futbol\/fc-barcelona\/20260729\/1004211153\/barca-no-olvida-jorge-salinas-precio-menor.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mundo Deportivo<\/a> has offered a fresh update on Barcelona\u2019s pursuit of Salinas, as we enter the final month of the transfer market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the report, Barcelona have set a firm ceiling of between \u20ac4-6 million for the 19-year-old, viewing him as a player for the future rather than someone who needs to arrive immediately.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That valuation falls well short of his release clause, which climbed to \u20ac16 million on July 1st following Racing\u2019s promotion to LaLiga. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cantabrian club, for their part, remain adamant they will not budge from the terms of his contract, which runs until 2029.<\/p>\n<p>A player admired for the long term<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1782109626_492_534696151_18277790809277402_3451401185627535296_n-1920x1080-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Jorge Salinas, Racing Santander player\" class=\"wp-image-203050\"  \/>Jorge Salinas is a long-term option for Barcelona.
