He was revealed as the Spanish representative during the season finale of El perro andaluz on La 1 this evening. Lucas was internally selected to represent Spain at Junior Eurovision 2026, as has been the case with all Spanish representatives since Spain\u2019s return to the contest in 2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lucas Paulano is 10 years old and comes from Ja\u00e9n in Andalusia. In 2025, he won the tenth season of La Voz Kids.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The song that Lucas will perform in Ta\u2019 Qali will be revealed at a later date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gonzalo Pinillos represented Spain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with \u201c\u00c9rase una vez (Once Upon a Time)\u201d. He placed 5th in the final, scoring 152 points, including 12 points from the Portuguese jury.<\/p>\n<p>Junior Eurovision 2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be held on October 24 in the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in  Ta\u2019 Qali. Malta will host the contest for the third time, making it the first country to do so. A total of 16 countries will participate in this year\u2019s contest. In 2004, Mar\u00eda Isabel brought Spain their only victory so far with \u201cAntes muerta que sencilla\u201d. After an absence of 13 years, Spain returned to the contest in 2019 with \u201cMarte\u201d by Melani Garc\u00eda. Spain had always finished in the top 5 until the 2021 contest, when Levi D\u00edaz finished in 15th place.
