It’s been a few weeks since Spain’s 2026 World Cup<\/a> triumph and some players are still in disbelief.<\/p>\n

Forward Ferran Torres joined the “TODAY” show Monday to discuss the game, returning to the U.S. for four days as he remains on break from Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Torres scored the final’s game-winning goal in extra time as Spain took down Lionel Messi and reigning champions Argentina 1-0<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old striker admitted he’s watched highlights of his goal countless times, but for one reason.<\/p>\n

“Honestly? A thousand times,” Torres said. “Because when I finished the game, I don’t remember the goal. I just have the feeling that I got crazy…I don’t remember how I scored.<\/p>\n

“I can’t describe with words. You just have to live the moment and, yeah, it was unbelievable.”<\/p>\n

In an interview<\/a> with NBC News, Torres explained that the goal was the best moment of his life, but not just because of the goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talked with my friends, and for me, it was a more exciting moment when I saw my teammates coming running, for two minutes, than even when I scored a goal,\u201d Torres said.<\/p>\n

The Barcelona forward is also in the middle of transfer rumors with the window still open for another month.<\/p>\n

Top French club Paris Saint-Germain has been linked to him after Goncalo Ramos departed for Italian side AC Milan in a lucrative deal. Torres addressed the situation.<\/p>\n

“I have a contract at Barcelona, but in football you never know,” he started. “I’m just waiting to make the right decision.”<\/p>\n

On whether Torres has a dream club, he provided a simple yet effective answer: “Just be happy.”<\/p>\n
