It\u2019s an exhilarating time to visit \u2013 the thrum of expectation (and heat) is palpable \u2013 but it\u2019s also a strain on the island\u2019s services. Expect traffic, crowds, and clubs and beaches to be packed to the rafters from June to September. There was a time when humidity hit its peak reliably every August, breaking to a thundering crescendo with wild, sky-illuminating storms in September, but weather patterns are more varied these days, making patterns harder to predict, so sun, clouds and rain all come and go.<\/p>\n<p>Still, as autumn beckons, you can rely on temperatures dropping and numbers subsequently dwindling. That combination makes for a great time to explore, with most of the island\u2019s services fully running until October.
