Mercer Island advertiser and media-services provider Vision Media<\/a> has hired Monica Ybarra-Rankin for its newly created director of human services position.<\/p>\n This is the company’s first human-resources role, the company said in a news release.<\/p>\n Ybarra-Rankin\u2019s previous work experience included directing, across a decade, the human resources department at the Downtown Seattle Association<\/a> and Metropolitan Improvement District<\/a>, where she led hiring, leadership development, and other HR-related duties. In the newly created role at Vision Media, she will serve as a mentor to create healthy internal relationships, ensure legal compliance, and help drive Vision Media\u2019s goals and priorities, according to the release.<\/p>\n \u201cAs we continued to experience rapid growth, it became more apparent that we needed a dedicated leader to focus entirely on hiring, education, employee relations, and prioritizing our agency culture,\u201d Lindsey Lind, president of Vision Media, said in a statement. \u201cWe are all excited to add Monica to our team.
