{"id":72675,"date":"2026-08-19T15:21:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T15:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/72675\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T15:21:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T15:21:09","slug":"barcelona-midfielder-slams-the-door-on-manchester-uniteds-35-million-offer-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/spain\/72675\/","title":{"rendered":"Barcelona midfielder slams the door on Manchester United&#8217;s \u00a335 million offer &#8211; report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Mirror (h\/t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sport.es\/es\/noticias\/barca\/oferta-manchester-united-barca-gavi-133477230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SPORT<\/a>), FC Barcelona midfielder Gavi has rejected the possibility of joining Manchester United, despite the English club\u2019s interest in recent days. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their midfield, but the player\u2019s response has been clear and unequivocal: he does not want to leave Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a335 million offer from Manchester United<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As per the report, Manchester United\u2019s interest in Gavi is not new. The team managed by Michael Carrick <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-fan-favourites-e55m-manchester-united-transfer-links-have-no-basis-romano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">identified the Barcelona star as one of their targets<\/a> as part of their midfield rebuild. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Red Devils have already invested around \u00a385 million on Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, but are still looking for a third midfield reinforcement. (Photo by Diego Souto\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manchester United were prepared to pay \u00a335 million, around \u20ac41 million, for the La Masia graduate.<\/p>\n<p>Gavi closes the door on United<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, as things stand, the midfielder has no intention of changing clubs. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gavi has made it clear that his intention is to remain at Barcelona and that he has no interest in moving to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The academy graduate believes he still has plenty to prove at Barcelona and can regain an important role under Hansi Flick. His commitment to the club remains unchanged after a difficult season, which was disrupted by a serious knee injury that kept him out for six months.<\/p>\n<p>Eager to impress<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arrival of Rodri has increased competition in midfield. Barcelona now have more options in the centre of the pitch, and Flick will have to manage a squad containing several players capable of operating in those positions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the Spanish international\u2019s arrival does not change Gavi\u2019s situation.
