Bernardo Silva said playing for Real Madrid \u201cis not for everyone\u201d after the Portugal midfielder was presented by the 15-time European champions on Wednesday.\n<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old, who joined from Manchester City at the end of his contract this summer, said he was proud to join the world\u2019s most successful club.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve already played quite a few times at the Bernabeu \u2014 when you arrive and see the 15 Champions League titles they display there, it\u2019s very imposing, and having them here is very special,\u201d Silva told club television channel Real Madrid TV.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cPlaying for a club that has 15 Champions League titles is not for everyone, so I\u2019m very proud, and now I\u2019ll give everything for this club.\u201d<\/p>\n
Silva\u2019s former Manchester City team-mate Rodri joined Madrid\u2019s rivals Barcelona on Tuesday. <\/p>\n
The Spanish midfielder had been linked with Real Madrid and new Los Blancos coach Jose Mourinho said he had spoken with Rodri earlier in the summer.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cI spoke with him a couple of times, and Real Madrid made him a very good offer,\u201d Mourinho told Spanish television show El Chiringuito this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cRodri had doubts\u2026 and the doubts of Rodri created doubts for me.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s an extraordinary player and was very professional with us; nothing negative to say. But Real Madrid is a club of a stature that can\u2019t have players who think twice about it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
