He is an\u00a0FC Barcelona player<\/a> once again. Jo\u00e3o Cancelo is back at Bar\u00e7a to begin his third spell as a blaugrana player, but this time it’s different to his previous two stints. After joining on loan from Manchester City for the 2023\/24 season and then returning to Bar\u00e7a on loan in January last season from Al Hilal, the Portuguese fullback now joins the club on a permanent basis.<\/p>\n

“It’s my dream”<\/p>\n

Today was his presentation as a blaugrana player and during the ceremony he stated that “It’s my dream. I’m where I want to be and I am very happy. I like the club, I identify with it. I feel loved here and I promise to give everything for this club”.<\/p>\n

On a personal level, the Portuguese international assured that he is “ready to play”. “I feel good physically. I have been training since the break”, affirmed the new blaugrana player.<\/p>\n

“We have a team to compete against everyone”<\/p>\n

On a collective level, he thinks that Bar\u00e7a have a team that can “compete against everyone”. “I want to help achieve the targets at the end of the season”, highlighted the defender.<\/p>\n

Knows Rodri well<\/p>\n

Lastly, when asked about Rodri, his former teammate at Manchester City, he said that “Rodri is one of the best players I have ever played with. He brings a lot, is very good and I get on well with him. He will be a key part of our success”.<\/p>\n

Cancelo has a new spell at Bar\u00e7a ahead of him, but this time he is here to stay.<\/p>\n
