FC Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado is not part of Hansi Flick\u2019s plans for the upcoming season and must decide where to continue his career, while left-back Alejandro Balde\u2019s future has also been thrown into uncertainty<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Casado has been training separately from the rest of the squad while assessing the options for his next move, whereas Balde remains a part of the group but could end up being sold if significant offers arrive.<\/p>\n

Mendes meets Casado, Balde<\/p>\n

Now, according to Jijantes (h\/t Mundo Deportivo<\/a>), Balde and Casado\u2019s agent, Jorge Mendes, met with both players in Barcelona. <\/p>\n

On Friday afternoon, the Portuguese super-agent held separate meetings with two of the Bar\u00e7a players he represents.<\/p>\n

Mendes travelled to Barcelona on Thursday morning for the signing of Jo\u00e3o Cancelo\u2019s contract through 2029 and his subsequent presentation. Later that afternoon, he spent an hour with Deco.<\/p>\n

Balde and Casado\u2019s situations<\/p>\n

With Cancelo back after finishing last season as a starter, Balde\u2019s situation is not particularly favourable. The academy graduate has always said that Bar\u00e7a is his priority, but he is also aware of what his regular role could look like. <\/p>\n

Mendes informed him of interest from several clubs, including Manchester United, and now Balde must decide whether to pursue an experience away from the club he joined when he was just eight years old. The left-back\u2019s contract runs until 2028.<\/p>\n

The situation is clearer with Casado, who will not play for Bar\u00e7a this season. The midfielder, also under contract until 2028 and a Bar\u00e7a player since 13, does not want to move to Saudi Arabia, where Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli have pushed to sign him. <\/p>\n

Advised by his family, he would prefer to continue his career in European football. AC Milan, Nottingham Forest and Benfica are among the clubs<\/a> interested in Casado. <\/p>\n

Bar\u00e7a know it will be difficult to receive the \u20ac40 million it could potentially have obtained had he moved to Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
