REDUAN\/EPA\/Shutterstock\/Shutterstock Editorial<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The five alleged traffickers charged migrants up to \u00a37,700 per person to transport them by boat from Ceuta to the Iberian Peninsula, police said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Four of those arrested belonged to a trafficking network that housed migrants in homes or garages in Ceuta, before taking them across the <a data-ylk=\"slk:Strait of Gibraltar;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/gibraltar\/\" class=\"ck-custom-link\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Strait of Gibraltar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Boat drivers were selected for their experience navigating fast, and their ability to take evasive manoeuvres and dodge police checks,&#8221;
